A PROCESSION of bikers roared through the streets of Fraserburgh
this- weekend to pay tribute to a friend who died in a road crash
on Tuesday. More than 40 members of the Reckless Few motorcycle
club rode en masse to the funeral of Strichen biker Paul Todd. Paul
25, died when his machine was in collision with a refuse collection

A981 Fraserburgh-Strichen road just
after 7am. On Saturday a huge turnout of friends and family attended
the service in his honour at Fraserburgh's old Parish Church His
father, Jock, said; "this is exactly what Paul would have wanted,
it just shows how well liked and popular he was. He lived every
day as it came and worked very hard for the club. "He would have
been pleased that his friends wore their leathers to the funeral",

he was never into getting
dressed up for big events.
Paul just liked to be himself
and every one loved him
for that. "He will be greatly missed by a lot of people. "Paul,
who lived with his family at Techmuiry , near Strichen, worked
for Taylor Manufacturers in Fraserburgh and also attended Banff
and Buchan College, where he was stud- -ying technical engineering.
He was said to have been 100% Involved in the Reckless Few club
and had

even helped restart it in
September. His other hobbies including making steam engines and
models as well as fixing and restoring motorbikes. Paul is also
survived by his mother, Zandra, and sister, Sonia.
After the service, he was laid to rest at rathen cemetery, The fatal
accident happened close to where a 50mph speed limit was introduced
to make the Memsie crossroads safer. |
